Blog / The First Five: Scott
When I started Shepherds College, I was told to enjoy the journey, to enjoy college life because it goes by quickly. To get every bit out of your life as you can.
During my time in college, I learned how to balance my work life with my social life and still have time for God, who wonderfully created me on purpose for a purpose, for His glory.
One of the other important things I learned was how to keep a job once you get it. I’ve worked in the kitchen at the Department of Corrections since I graduated from Shepherds College, so those lessons stuck.
It’s important not to give up on learning just because you have a disability. I show my coworkers what I can do, and I share with them Philippians 4:13, that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
