Planned Giving / Bequests
One of the simplest planned gifts is a bequest through your will, in which you designate a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate after other disbursements.
Making a gift by bequest to Shepherds Foundation, Inc. can be as simple as inserting a paragraph into your will. See the sample language below.
I/We hereby give, devise, and bequeath to the Shepherds Foundation, Inc. (EIN: 20-1344722, hereafter the “Foundation”), a nonprofit, nonstock Wisconsin corporation located in Union Grove, Wisconsin, [ _____ percent (%) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate; OR _____ dollars ($) to be used in an area of greatest need at the Shepherds College.
Your attorney can change this to a percentage of your residual estate or a specific asset, or to specify a particular program. Please have them contact us with any questions.
